DYCP grant for ‘Developing an Oratorio’

I’m so happy and grateful to receive Arts Council Developing Your Creative Practice grant for ‘Developing an Oratorio’ - exploring narrative in music, specifically working towards composing a (long in gestation) oratorio about the life of Joan of Arc.

The fund will allow me time over 10 months to explore, research, workshop ideas, improve vocal writing, work towards composing for larger forces, basically develop my creative practice!

It will also allow me to work with some wonderful people, including the brilliant mezzo soprano Helen Charlston and Britten Sinfonia..
