Her own, increasingly performed, music for concert is direct and evocative, and is often inspired by other art forms — particularly visual art and poetry —, nature and spiritual/philosophical concepts. She has composed for musicians and ensembles of various sizes including Britten Sinfonia, Hebrides Ensemble, Voces8, Charles Owen and Onyx Brass, with performances at St Magnus International Festival, Leicester International Concert Series and Borough New Music among others.

Current projects, supported by PRS Foundation, Arts Council of England and Vaughan Williams Foundation, include an oratorio about Joan of Arc for Helen Charlston and Britten Sinfonia, and an album of music for prepared piano and electronics, performed by Siwan Rhys.

Her distinctive music for film, which often fuses electronic sounds with acoustic instruments, includes scores for features Undercover, Exposing the Far Right (2024), Your Fat Friend (2023), Seahorse, the Man who Gave Birth  (2019) and March for Dignity (2020) and My Friend the Polish Girl (2018).
