Update

A funding body recently fed back that it might be an idea to state what I had been recently working on and so I felt the need to explain why I’d had a quiet 2023….

A few days before Christmas 2022 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, beginning a year of hospital appointments, surgery and chemotherapy. I am lucky that the cancer was removed and the chemotherapy fairly short-lived (if horrible!)

Now I’m taking drugs for the next at least 5 years, to help avoid cancer recurrence, and am happy to be back working on some interesting projects again.

While I was having chemotherapy, I had time to apply for some funding for a couple of projects, and I was delighted to receive grants from The Vaughan Williams Foundation (going towards the recording and releasing of a new album for prepared piano and electronics with Siwan Rhys) and Help Musicians (for some training).

I’ve also just started working on a new feature documentary and a short, while developing my own projects. .
